Shipping Costs

We will ship your package by the carrier of your choice: UPS or USPS (Priority Mail and Parcel Post).

You may also select from the list of the expedited services which are provided by UPS.

UPS does not accept P.O. Box addresses.

Packages addressed to P.O. Boxes will be shipped by USPS at an additional charge.

Our shipping rates are calculated in real time based on the weight of the items in your cart.

The table below may be used as a rough guide to your shipping costs.

There is a $2.50 handling charge on orders under $35.

Please note that the above shipping rates are approximate. Orders which need more than one box may incur an additional excess shipping charge. If applicable excess shipping of less than $5 will be added to your order total. If the additional shipping charge exceeds $5 we will contact you for authorization.

 

Shipments to Canada

Please note that shipments to Canada may incur brokerage fees and Customs duty in addition to the shipping fee charged by us. Brokerage and Customs duty are responsibility of the importer and will not be paid by British Delights under any circumstances.

Perishable Items

Perishable items require our thermal shipping option and Next Day Expedited shipping if you are located outside our 1 day region - see below.

Damages and  Lost  in Transit - UPS Shipments

In case of damage please call UPS on 1-800-PICK-UPS immediately and notify British Delights within 24 hours so that a claim can be made.  Refused package or return shipping charges will be charged to your account.

Damages and  Lost  in Transit  - USPS Shipments

Please note USPS Priority and USPS Parcel Post services are not insured for loss or damage. Shipment by these services is at the Customers risk.

Package Tracking

UPS offers a full tracking service

USPS Priority offers delivery confirmation only.

USPS Parcel Post offers no tracking capability.

Please take note when making your carrier choice.

 

Shortages

All shortages and order problems must be notified to British Delights within 48 hours. No reimbursements will be made after 48 hours.

Food Sales Are Final

All Food sales are final. No returns can be accepted.

Delivery Day

Please refer to the UPS web site for delivery ground day to your area. Please note UPS service levels refer to business days not calendar days. UPS does not work on weekends or holidays. Expedited orders will be processed the same day if received before 11am. UPS expedited orders received after 11am and USPS Priority Mail orders will be processed the next business day. Regular orders are generally processed within 3-4 business days.

 

Damage Caused by Weather Conditions

We are not responsible for damage caused by inclement weather conditions (freezing or melting). If you are concerned about weather conditions you should arrange appropriate shipping (charged at cost).

Address Corrections and Order Cancellations

Please note that for incorrectly addressed packages UPS levies a $8 or $12 address correction adjustment. If this is caused by your error we will apply that charge to your account.

Order alterations, corrections or cancellations will incur a $5 handling fee.

Shipping Offers

Occasionally we may offer free shipping for orders over a certain value (eg $100). The following conditions apply for free shipping offers:

i) Applies only to orders under 40lbs in weight, shipped to mainland USA by UPS ground.

 ii) Applies to the  first box only  on multi-box orders: For example if you order 2 cases of crisps which are bulky and require 1 box each, you would get free shipping on the first box. (The second box would be charged.)

iii) Applies only to internet orders. Phone orders do not get free shipping.

Product Freshness

All product will be shipped in strict rotation in the sequence that orders are received.

No Conditional Orders

No conditional orders will be accepted.

Conditional orders such as "only ship if date exceeds xxx" or "only ship if shipping is less than xxx" will ship as ordered and will be subject to our standard policies.

We Do Not Expedite Orders at Our Expense

Orders will not be expedited at British Delights expense irrespective of the reason for an order delay.
